1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Check Your Contractor ("CYC," "the Platform," "we," "us," or "our") at checkyourcontractor.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

CYC provides AI-powered tools for homeowners to analyze contractor bids, generate project scopes, and prepare for contractor interactions. For contractors, CYC provides a marketplace to browse and bid on local home improvement projects.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Platform uses artificial intelligence to generate scope of work documents, bid analyses, pricing estimates, coaching guidance, and other content. This AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional construction advice, legal advice, or financial advice.

Pricing estimates, "Trust Scores," and red flag assessments are generated by AI based on available data and may not reflect actual market conditions in your area. You should always obtain multiple independent contractor estimates and consult with licensed professionals before making decisions about home improvement projects.

CYC does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content. Use of AI-generated content is at your own risk.

4. Homeowner Terms

Homeowner features (project intake, scope generation, bid analysis, coaching, and chat assistance) are currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future with advance notice.

When you post a project for contractor bidding, certain information from your scope (project type, categories, price ranges, and general requirements) will be shared with contractors. Your personal information (name, address, phone, email, photos) will never be shared without your explicit consent.

5. Contractor Subscription Terms

Contractor access requires a paid subscription at $49.99 per month. New accounts receive a 30-day free trial. Your subscription will automatically renew monthly unless canceled before the next billing date.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

Free Trial: If you cancel during your free trial, you will not be charged. No credit card is required to start the trial.

6. Sealed Bidding Rules

Contractor bids on CYC are sealed, meaning contractors can see the number of competing bids but cannot see other contractors' bid amounts, line items, or cover letters. Homeowners are not obligated to accept the lowest bid or any bid at all.

Contractors may update their bids until the bid deadline. After the deadline, all bids are final. Acceptance of a bid does not create a binding contract between homeowner and contractor—it is an invitation for an in-person verification visit.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading information in bids, reviews, or profiles
• Attempt to circumvent the sealed bidding process or access other users' confidential information
• Use automated tools to scrape, overload, or interfere with the Platform
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users of the Platform
• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CYC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

CYC does not employ, endorse, or guarantee any contractor listed on the Platform. We do not verify the quality of work performed by contractors. Hiring decisions are solely between homeowners and contractors. CYC is not a party to any agreement between homeowners and contractors.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to CYC in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

9. Intellectual Property

Scope of work documents, bid analyses, and other AI-generated content created through the Platform are provided for your personal use. The CYC platform, brand, design, and underlying technology remain the intellectual property of IntegrAIted.io.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be retained for up to 90 days before deletion unless required by law.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify subscribers of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
